Pasture Dieback Survey is a survey tool for reporting suspected or confirmed Pasture Dieback in tropical and sub-tropical grass pastures in grazing lands. Development has been co-ordinated by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Queensland, on behalf of Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA).
MLA, along with multiple research partners, is undertaking a range of research into the potential causes and spread of Pasture Dieback across Queensland and northern New South Wales. This app allows the user to quickly report locations and basic circumstances of suspected pasture dieback to assist with ongoing research.
Importantly, this survey works without the need for mobile phone reception. You can store your response while in the paddock, and submit them when you return to any internet service.
